About Us

A Fresh Take on Italian Seafood in Louisville
San Marzano tomato pomodoro sauce tossed with al dente spaghetti, finished with roasted garlic, extra virgin olive oil, and shaved Parmesan. A vibrant, vegetarian-friendly staple on the Osteria Italian Seafood dinner menu.

Osteria Italian Seafood: Coastal Comfort Meets Italian Tradition

Osteria Italian Seafood offers a coastal-meets-classic Italian dining experience in the heart of Westport Village. The menu highlights fresh seafood, housemade pastas, and a curated selection of wine and bourbon—all served in a lively space with warm hospitality and live jazz on the patio. Osteria is a place where every visit feels like a special occasion.

Our Origin Story

In May 2023, Jared Matthews acquired the longtime Louisville staple Napa River Grill with a vision: to create a seafood-forward concept rooted in Italian flavor and coastal hospitality. After a quick two-week renovation, Osteria opened its doors in September 2023 with a transformed dining room, an updated menu, and the same warm welcome. By retaining much of the existing team and honoring fan-favorite dishes, Osteria bridges the familiar and the fresh.

The Osteria Experience

Whether you're here for a romantic dinner, a private celebration, or just a glass of prosecco on the patio, Osteria offers a relaxed, refined atmosphere built for connection. From live jazz on weekends to private dining rooms and rotating chef features, every visit brings something new to the table.

Our Philosophy

At Osteria, we believe dining should be intentional—never rushed, always thoughtful. Our menu centers on fresh ingredients, house-made pastas, and seafood prepared with care. But just as important is the feeling you get when you walk through the door.

We're here to make people feel welcome, well-fed, and a little more connected—whether it's a weekday dinner or a celebration worth toasting.

The food draws you in. The feeling brings you back.
